About the Roundtable

The Round Table is a community-based collaborative seeking to reduce violence and improve schools and community safety by advocating for and designing youth and parent investment programs in our schools, and by advocating for job training and employment opportunities for young people in our community.

The Round Table launched the HHS Youth & Parent Investment Initiative in May 2011, and the Job Training & Jobs Initiative in June 2011.

The Hayward High Youth and Parent Investment Project is funded through a grant from Supervisor Nate Miley (Alameda County District 4) and Supervisor Nadia Lockyer (Alameda County District 2). Technical assistance is provided by the Alameda County Healthcare Services Agency. A contract for program planning and services for 2011-2012 is in process.

The Round Table is grateful to Supervisors Miley and Lockyer, the City of Hayward, Hayward Unified School District, Hayward High School, and the numerous government and community leaders who have forged the Round Table and who participate in our endeavors.
