Sacraments
We celebrate two sacraments:
Baptism and Communion.

Children and adult candidates are baptized during Sunday morning services. The amount of water varies across traditions—at Eden we sprinkle—but the meaning of baptism is the same: we belong to God, to each other, and to the church universal; and nothing can separate us from God’s love. Contact our Senior Minister if you desire baptism for yourself or a loved one.

Christ is host at communion. You are welcome here. By partaking of the broken bread, we acknowledge our individual and collective need for grace. By dipping a piece of the bread into a common cup, we celebrate Christ’s love for us and for all people. We celebrate communion on the first Sunday of each month and at other special occasions. Anointing is part of our communion liturgy and is a sign of Christ’s peace and healing.

Rites
We observe five special worship practices called “rites.” They include: confirmation, weddings, funerals, ordination, and unction.
