How We Worship We worship every Sunday, beginning at 10:00 a.m., in our recently renovated Sanctuary. Special services are held in Pioneer Chapel and in our Meditation Room. Sunday services last about 70 minutes. Childcare and ASL interpretation are always available. There’s no dress code. Come as you are. Our worship style features a blend of traditional and contemporary music, preaching, teaching, prayer, and sacramental celebrations. We strive for a balance between routine that promotes a sense of reassurance, and variety that emulates the movement of the Spirit. Compared with Roman Catholic and Episcopal churches, our services may seem very informal, while compared with Pentecostal and Evangelical churches, we may seem reserved. Eden’s services begin and end with organ or piano music, and commence with congregational responses and prayers, then announcements, the Children’s Gathering, and a sermon and pastoral prayer, ending with the offering and a closing song. Our children and youth are invited forward early in the service, and then excused to classes or the nursery. We sing and hear a wide range of music performed by diverse ensembles. Our Senior Minister, Arlene Nehring, preaches frequently and shares the pulpit with our ministerial staff and lay leaders. Click here for a link to sermons at Eden. A talented team of lay liturgists brings creativity and faith-filled insights to weekly worship. We use a sound system and digital projection system to enhance worship. Hearing assistance systems are available for use. Please see the receptionist when you visit to borrow a unit. We look forward to welcoming you to worship at Eden Church in the very near future.
